Colorado Springs, at approximately 6,000 ft in elevation, offers a wonderful climate with temperatures encouraging many out door activities. A plethora of outdoor sports are available ranging from splendid skiing in Breckenridge to mountain biking in Garden of the Gods.

Regardless of season, Colorado Springs weather is pleasant year round, with an average of 247 sunny days a year.  The high altitude and dry climate are extremely beneficial to ones health.  Many experience a reduction in allergy symptoms as well.

Rarely does one find Colorado Springs to be extreme in weather during the summer or the winter.  The Pikes Peak region has frequent dry summers during most of the season The Rocky Mountains catch most of the precipitation from eastern moving storms.  Outdoor school and business actions are hardly ever disrupted due to foul weather.

Colorado Springs has grown to a flourishing city of over 500,000. Numerous parks and open spaces for recreation have been taken care of to preserve the quality of life for this prosperous metropolis. The statistics do not lie in that Colorado Springs is a thriving capital yet still retains it's welcoming appeal and openness.

Air Travel:
The Colorado Springs Airport offers about 100 flights daily, including non-stop flight to 13 major cites served by eight airline companies.  In 2005 alone over 1 million people boarded planes from Colorado Springs Airport.

Bus Service:
A door to door service for the handicapped is offered by Metro mobility and the Mountain Metropolitan Transit.

Customs:
Receipts, inspection and clearance of goods is handled near the airport by one full time inspector.

Highway Routes:
U.S. Highways 85/87 and 24 and Interstate 25.  State Highways 122, 115, 94 and 83.  Maximum vehicle height 13.5 feet.

Railway Service:
Union Pacific/Southern Pacific and Burlington North/Santa Fe.

Truck Service:
Intrastate delivery, coast to coast service and interstate services are offered by more than 35 trucking companies.
